Please join us on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. in BTC 203 to learn about a first-rate resource for our students: The Learning Centers.
Dave Clickner will present a short, but very meaningful video that provides an overview of the support services available to students. He will also discuss the support services available through the Learning Centers, one of the areas highlighted in the video.
The Learning Centers, comprised of the Learning Assistance Center (LAC), the Collegiate Academic Support Program (CASP), the Computer Learning Center (CLC) and the Writing Center, provide drop-in academic support to students enrolled in classes at the college.
The Learning Centers are staffed by full- and part-time education specialists, part-time professional tutors and peer tutors who provide one-on-one and small-group instruction in math, learning strategies and other content areas.
Where can I refer a student who needs more help in math than I can provide? What about writing? Computer skills?
